Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Book Nook LLC, a Nevada limited liability company (“Book Nook,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), governing your use of the Book Nook app and related services (the “Service”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Book Nook. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms.
2. Your account
- You can use Book Nook as a guest or create a full account with an email and password (or via Apple/Google sign‑in).
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms (see “Termination”).
3. Book Nook Plus subscriptions
- Book Nook offers an optional paid subscription (“Plus”) with monthly and yearly options.
- Billing is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us. Your subscription is charged to your store account.
- Subscriptions auto‑renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, per the store’s rules.
- You manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple or Google account settings, not through us.
- Refunds are handled according to the policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play; we generally cannot issue refunds directly.
- Prices and features may change; we will give notice of material changes as required.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law or infringe others’ rights while using the Service.
- Attempt to access, tamper with, or disrupt the Service, its security, or other users’ accounts or data.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service except as permitted by law.
- Submit content that is unlawful, harmful, hateful, or that you don’t have the right to share.
5. Your content and feedback
- You retain ownership of content you create (such as book notes, reviews, and feedback).
- You grant us a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free license to store and use that content as needed to operate and improve the Service (for example, saving your library to your account, or acting on feedback you submit).
- If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without obligation to you.
6. Intellectual property
- The Book Nook app, its design, and its original content are owned by us and protected by intellectual‑property laws.
- The app uses third‑party 3D models, fonts, and other assets under their respective licenses; credits are listed in the app’s Acknowledgements.
- These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks, logos, or branding.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep Book Nook running well, but we do not guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error‑free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Book Nook and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $50.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, without regard to its conflict‑of‑laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Nevada will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, except where prohibited by applicable law.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, provide notice in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
