Delete your account & data
Applies to the Book Nook app by Book Nook LLC.
You can delete your Book Nook account and its data at any time. Deleting removes your personal account data and associated reading data — your library, reading sessions, points, streaks, nook layouts, and profile — from our active systems. Backups and legally required records may persist for a limited period before being overwritten, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Fastest way: in the app
- Open Book Nook and go to Settings (the gear icon).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account (shown as Delete data if you're using Book Nook as a guest).
- Confirm. Your account and data are deleted and you're signed out.
Deletion is permanent — your books, points, streaks, and nooks cannot be restored afterwards.
Can't access the app?
If you've uninstalled Book Nook or can't sign in, you can request deletion by email:
- Email support@getbooknook.com with the subject "Account deletion request".
- Send it from the email address on your Book Nook account (or include that address), so we can verify it's you.
- We'll confirm and complete the deletion, then email you when it's done.
You can also use the contact form — choose "Something else" as the topic.
What's deleted, and what isn't
- Deleted: your account, profile, library and shelves, reading sessions, points and streaks, nook layouts and owned items, and any imported data.
- Not stored by us: payment details — subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so cancel any active subscription in your App Store or Google Play settings (deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription).
- Temporary: encrypted backups may retain data for a limited period before being overwritten.
Prefer to keep your account but take your data with you? Use Settings → Download My Data in the app first — deletion can't be undone.
